Too sensitive desktop computer while in Stanby Mode.

While my desktop computer in standby mode, any movement of the mouse or
keyboard button pressing will definitely wakes up the computer but is not
the case for my laptop where it only wakes up upon pressing the power button
which is convenient.

My laptop power settings:
Power schemes: Home/Office Desk.
Turn off monitor: after 10 min.
Turn off hard disks: after 1 hour.
System stand by: Never.
System hibernates: Never.

On the Advance tab:
When I close the lid of my portable computer: Stand by.
When I press the power button on my computer: Shut down.

Tried to set the same settings in the desktop computer but yielded
non-identical results of laptop. Tried to find some option to fiddle on the
bios setup of my desktop computer but to no avail. Please help.

Open Device Manager, click on + beside mouse, click on mouse name, click on
properties, click on power management tab, uncheck the box beside "allow
this device to bring computer out of standby. Click OK. Do the same for the
keyboard.
