too much time to wake up from hibernation

I have Windows Xp on my laptop, and could not solve teh booting problem taht
was taking too much time.
So i went into a reformatting procedure.
Since then The PC takes more than 10 mn to wake up from Hibernation.
Any hint?

Update all system and device drivers with the most recent release from the

toshiba ? with the one i had sometimes it would and sometimes it wouldn't
come out of hibernation when i re-opend the lid.

here's what i discovered on this specific laptop. it had the 'nubbin' mouse
in the middle of the keyboard, if i opened the lid and immediately started
moving the 'nubbin' around slightly, it would come out of hiberation
immediately almost 100% of the time.

i was never able to fix it so it worked properly.
