too long notes to print

B

Bumbrlik

I am running Windows XP and PowerPoint 2000 SP-3.

I frequently add long notes (I think they are called "notes", it's the
information that is not directly on slides) to my slides. When I print
"Notes Pages", only one page per slide is printed and long notes are
curtailed.

Is there a way I can either print more than one page per slide if needed or
reduce the font size of notes such that all fits on one slide ?

Thanks,
Bumbrlik

The former, no. The latter, sure. Easy!
You can't format your notes text in the normal "3-pane" view that shows you
outline, slide and notes. So choose View, Notes Page. Select the text you
want to shrink (or the entire text box) and set the font size to something that
fits.

If you want to shrink the text for all of the notes at once, skip the above, go
directly to the source: View, Master, Notes Master. Click in the text
placeholder once, press Esc (this selects the entire text box) and then change
the font formatting to the desired size.

It'll also be worth experimenting with different fonts; some "set tighter"
than others (ie, more characters per line).

You can also adjust the size of the text placeholder (make it bigger/wider) and
the slide placeholder (make it smaller to make room for more text)
