I know I am probably asking a stupid question, but I am really, really
getting fed up with the computer! Yesterday I installed a new game but
uninstalled it quite quickly after that because the graphics were too large
and "in your face". Now every other part of the computer now runs in extra
large size. I have tried altering so many things, i have restored to the
last restore date but nothing will alter back to how it should be. PLEASE can
anybody help me - running XP Home Edition.

Some crappy games on exit do not reset the screen resolution back to
what it was before playing the game. Have you rebooted yet? What is
the screen resolution now?

Better repost saying exactly what you have tried that
failed to set the display as you prefer. Usual route is via
/ Control Panel / Display / Settings "Screen Area."
How is yours currently set, what would you prefer, and
what happens when you input your preference?
(NB icon size and spacing can also be customized
in / Control Panel / Display / Appearance.)

Thanks VanguardLH - I have rebooted a number of times - screen resolution is
800 x 600.

================================================
Try a different screen resolution like maybe 1024x768 or higher.

Higher numbers...more pixels in the same space makes graphics display
smaller.
