to print black & white

I have a HP colour printer (USB connection). Is there a way to create
another printer icon, so that I can configure this icon differently to print
in black & white only. Because now when I want to print black & white, I
have to change the printer properties (because the default now is to print
in colour). Therefore I will like to have 2 printer icons (pointing to the
same printer) but one will print in colour (normal & default) and another
only in black & white.

You could install the printer a second time and then set the properties for
each, one for b&w the other for color.

If your computer and printer is like mine, then yes. Here's how:

Start Menu > Printers & Faxes > Add a Printer > Next > Local Printer > Next

Use Printer Port > Virtual Printer Port for USB > Next > HP > [select your

printer model] > Next > Keep Existing Driver > Next > [make choice] > Next >
[make choice] >Next > Finish.
