To go back to previous date

I do not have windows XP. I have MS Professional 2000. It used to recognize my modem, but now it does not. How do I take it back to a previous date?
 
Windows 2000 Professional does not have that functionality. You can try at boot an option hit F8 before the Windows splash screen starts. Then choose a previous configuration.. That's the best you can do in Windows 2000 in that vein.
 
Alternatively, you can try to un-install and re-install your modem driver.
