To fnd out gateway from IP

Hi,
I want to know gateway IP from host IP address. Is this possible to know ?.

Please reply.
 
Hi,

I know this. But this is for local host IP. If I want to know the gateway of
remote host IP which I am not able ping. How dod you that.

Please let me know if you have answer.
