To block intellisense

When I type Dale in the To block of a new Outlook 2002 email, it pops up
with a list of several email addresses: my fathers, my work, a friend, and a
email address that was mistyped. How do I go about eliminating the mistyped
email from this list? Is there a list somewhere that I can edit?

Outlook's autocompletion cache is maintained in a separate file, commonly called
the nickname or NK2 file. You can manually delete an entry, if and when you're
offered the drop down list in the To, Cc, or Bcc fields. You can use the arrow
keys to select the address and then press the Delete key to remove it.

You can also delete the existing NK2 file (or rename the extension) to
completely clear the cache and start with a clean cache file. Do this with
Outlook closed. When you open Outlook again, a new NK2 will be generated.

In order to edit the contents of this file, you'll need a 3rd party utility like
the one offered here:

In my system:

The file name is:
Microsoft Outlook Internet Settings.NK2

It's located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\{My User ID}\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\

Substitute {My User ID} for your own.
