Can't block specific sender in Outlook 2007

Hi all,

I have a really odd problem with my junk email settings in Outlook 2007.
I've added many addresses to the blocked sender list, and they are moved to
the junk email folder without a problem. There is one address I've tried
repeatedly to block, with no success (it is an AOL account). This email
address shows up in the blocked sender's list, and I have no "safe senders"
defined. My junk email setting is "low". I get emails from this sender every
day, sometimes multiple times. When I attempt to right click and add to
blocked senders, there is no error message. If multiple emails from this
sender are in my inbox, only the one I selected is moved. For the others I
must either repeat this process or delete. Then later, I continue to receive
emails from this address. I wound up created an AOL rule to move all AOL
accounts to another folder (with some exceptions defined). I'm sure this
will work, but I'd really like to know why I'm having this problem. Any
ideas? TIA!

PS: This is not an unknown party, but a geriatric friend of the family who
sends jokes & stuff all day long. There is no subterfuge here.)

Is the address of the sender perhaps also in your Contacts folder?
Then either remove it from there or disable the option to treat senders in
your Contacts folder as safe.
