To begin, click your user name... ...

Hi,

I am running XP SP1. I am also the only user of my computer; I guess that
means that I am the default 'administrator'. Because I need to prevent other
people from using my computer, I set up a pass word for it.

When XP booted up, I 'used' to have my password input box already open for
me with a cursor in it without me clicking on or doing anything.

But now, I get this 'To begin, click your user name' underneath 'Welcome'
instead along with my user name and icon. I'll need to click on my name to
bring up this pass word box.

What should I do to make this pass word box shown as soon as this welcome
window shows up without doing anything else?

Thanks.

Hi,

Password Prompt Open for User:

This will only happen if you have no other users listed on the Welcome
Screen, including the System Admin account and the Guest account. The Guest
account must be disabled.

You can use TweakUI for XP to uncheck accounts on the Welcome Screen under
Logon that may not be visible to you. http://tinyurl.com/h8zs
