I have my taskbar on the top of the screen rather than
the standard bottom position (I run YzDock and it looks
better that way), and I've noticed that some programs
have problems dealing with this. They will open new
windows with the titlebar behind the taskbar rather than
just starting the window below the taskbar like they're
supposed to. My firewall, BlackICE, does this, as does
MATLAB, as did WinMX when I had it installed (it would
actually gradually move components of it upwards until
they were off the screen!). Of course, other programs
like web browsers, Trillian, Media Player, iTunes, etc.
all respect the taskbar position. Does anyone know if
this is a bug in Windows or is it a bug in the respective
programs that get stuck?
