Title master not showing up in Slide Design

I am having a problem with my title slide. Our parent company has a certain
way of designing slides, and I have imported the title and slide master.

When I try to use the masters I can not view the title slide so I am having
trouble applying it to the title slide.

The title and slide master are linked together (with a gray line in the left
hand side of the slides), and only the slide master shows up in the 'Slide
Design' under 'Used in this presentation'. The title master does not show up
anywhere else in the 'Slide Design' for that matter.

How do I make the title master show up? Can I apply the title master to the
first slide another way?

I have already applied the slide master for the remaining slides with no
problems.

Is the first slide a Title Slide? The Title master doesn't apply (or not
apply) to the first slide. It applies to titles slides. Generally, the
first slide is a title slide, but it doesn't have to be (and other slides
can be title slides). Go to the first slide and try going to Format and
Slide Layout and apply the title slide layout.

Just apply a title layout to the slide, and the title master attributes will
show up on the slide. Format | Slide Layout, then choose the title slide
layout.

The thumbnail in the slide design task pane is taken from the slide
master -- you can't make the title master thumbnail show up there. (Well,
you could kind of fake it by creating another set of masters and format both
the slide master and title master to look like the title master.)

Thank you so much - once I deleted applied the title slide in the 'Slide
Layout' and deleted the old title master (I had two in there) the new one
showed up.

I appreciate your help.
