tiny fonts printed in email with attachments

My new computer has Vista 64 bit and Windows mail. I often get emails with
text followed by attached photos. I print only the selection of text. It is
printing too tiny to read.

I remember the way to fix that in XP and IE7 by changing a % in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\MAIN\FeatureControl\FEATURE_STF_Scale_Min but don't know if that is
safe to try in Vista 64 or if it will work.

Has anyone had the tiny font problem (when in email with photos) and been
able to fix it?

If not, can I uninstall IE8 and will the machine revert to IE 7? I don't
even know if that works as I haven't had this computer more than a few days.

?????

replying to myself - I went back to iE7 and have the same problem. I have to
forward just the txt part to myself in order to print (or copy to Word, I
suppose. Still need help. Thanks.

Set the printed output from WM @ IE>View>text size.
The printed page setup, margins etc is also set in IE @ file menu>page
setup.

Are you running Vista x64 SP1 or SP2?

Is "Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB972260)" listed in Installed
Updates?

Sorry but that makes no change in an email in which there is an attachment
shown on the page. It makes the header and the text miniscule. If I forward
just the text to myself, it prints fine.

To keep track of things, it helps immensely if you quote all of the previous
message(s) in your replies to the newsgroup. Thank you.

1) Yes, "Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB972260)" is listed in my
installed updates.

2) I didn't quote the whole previous messages because on some boards I was
told it made my message too long. I have to learn the proper etiquette per
message board.

3) I am downloading the DVD ISO for SP2 and will try to burn it and then
install it and see if it helps. Otherwise I will have to live with the
printing issue and/or forward the texxt part to myself for proper printing.

4) I reinstalled IE8 since changing to IE7 didn't make a difference.

I'm d/ling SP2's ISO right now and will attempt to install it. For some
reason my "totally" updated Windows Update did not offer me that. I read
somewhere that it may be because my new computer came with Windows Live
Messenger of a certain version.

SP2 is installed (vista 6 bit) and rebooted and all. But the printout is
still in tiny fonts when I select some text that is above attached photos.
When no attachment is in the body, fonts are normal sized. There must be a
setting I can change as there had been in XP when IE6 or 7 had come out. By
the way I am using both a Dell 720 as a local printer and a Brother 7440N
networked to a Dell Inspiron laptop 1545.

OK, good luck.
