time problems

Periodically, the windows clock goes backwards on my computer. The
motherboard battery is only one year old, and the clock goes backwards mostly
when the computer is running. I have tried the following suggestions but
nothing has changed:

----------------------------
Go to Start | Run and type cmd. Then enter the following
commands:

net stop w32time
w32tm /unregister
w32tm /register
net start w32time

.......then/or....

Reset the clock then run this edit:

Save Settings on Exit (Line 54)

it runs fine after the computer decides to reset everything after an
unrelated error. but after a few months something happens and this problem
comes back...

Hey Andrew I has that same problem and what fixed it for me was opening up
the clock and unchecking the syncronize with internet time service. I've had
no problems since I unchecked that box. XP Home SP2.

Double click the clock > Time Zone Tab

Make sure you have chosen the correct time zone (ie not one hour out).
