Time Limit?

My neighbor has been typing two full pages on Word and then a box comes up
and says that she's exceeded her time limit. Her choices are to hit 'okay' or
click the 'x' in the top right corner. She pressed 'okay' the first time and
it deleted everything. So she typed it again and the same thing happened and
she pressed 'okay' and it deleted what she typed again. She's now on her 3rd
draft. Is this a virus on her computer? What should she do the next time the
box comes up? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've never heard of that. Is it a full version of Word or a trial version?

The exact wording of the "time limit" message would be very helpful. For any
given document, Word does not have a time limit. For the trial version of
Word, there is a time limit of some number of days. But, that time limit
would manifest well before when your neighbor is seeing it. Does she have
updated antivirus software?

She does not have the trial version, she has the full version and it has
never happened before in any of her previous documents. The next time the
window comes up I will copy the exact wording of the message.

I winder if she has a "learn-to-type" practice program running on her
computer...
