Tiling problems with Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer

I am running WIndows XP (SP1), Home Edition on my home PC and Professional
Edition on my office PC. I have the same problem of both PCs:

If I have two or more instances of Windows Explorer and/or Internet Explorer
running, I cannot tile their windows. When I right click on an empty region
of the Taskbar and select Tile Windows Horizontally or Tile WIndows
Vertically, either the windows do not move or, if one is selected to be
active, it might tile without the other(s) moving. OTOH, Tile
Horizontally/Vertically works successfully with multiple instances of other
applications (Notepad, Paint, etc.)

Can anyone recommend a fix? TIA.

I FINALLY tracked down the cause of the problems described in my earlier
post. (See below.) It is the plugin PopThis! I use as a pop-up blocker in
IE6. When I cleared (unchecked) the PopThis! settings " Prevent JavaScript
resizing," "Prevent JavaScript reposition," and "Load into Folder Views" are
unchecked, the "Tile Windows ..." procedures returned to normal.

Perhaps this information will be usefull to few of the readers of this
newsgroup.
