I hope they either make a BCC button available or at least that the
Contacts Add BCC Button extension works with 1.5 Final.

It doesn't work in the current RC's? The extension itself has a
maxVersion set to 1.6+, so it should work without problems.

Wald

Wald,
I don't do RCs, but thanks for pointing out that about the
maxVersion. Nice to know.

What do you mean by this?

I just use the drop menu to add BCC addresses to emails.

What part don't you understand? What I said seems pretty straight forward.

The BCC button was present by default in Mozilla and I believe,
Netscape. I use the one that's installed by the "Contacts Add BCC
Button" extension all the time. Yes, I know you can right click on an
address and select "BCC", but I prefer not to do it that way. There are
"Add to To:" and "Add to Cc:" buttons, it seems to me that there's no
reason why there shouldn't also be an "Add to Bcc:" button also by default.

Try to remember that just because you do something a certain way, that
doesn't mean that others also like to use the same technique.

I found that if I downloaded and installed the "Nightly Tester Tools" in
the FF extensions site and then downloaded the contacts add BCC button,
it installed right away and has worked ever since.

Do you think this is too much work to do when you consider that the
entire Mozilla project is "free?"

I marvel at the dedication and support that the Mozilla experts
contribute. Thanks to them for a great program and wonderful support
that I think makes
Microsoft second rate with respect to IE and Outhouse Express..

Are you trolling or what? Am I supposed to be restricted from
criticizing a program simply because it's freeware? GET A GRIP!!!

Mellow out and stop blowing this all out of proportion. I make a simple
remark and you guys jump all over me. I think that the BCC button should
be a permanent part of Thunderbird and that's that. I'm entitled to my
opinions and if you don't like that, it's just too bad.

It is pretty straight forward, I just didn't get your point as to me the
drop down BCC function is fine and I assumed that everyone would use it.

I hope you are not including me as 'you guys' as I was simply clarifying
what you meant and thus possibly adding some useful input if needed
which is wasn't.

And your opinion is shared by many people in the Mozillazine forums.
