Smith & Wesson... the Point and Click interface with *attitude*

Hi,
In Thunderbird, how do i make a filter or else so that when i receive a
message from some address or with some subject a wav is played? or a window
popups (at least)

This feature exists in almost all the email clients (even the lousy ones),
mas i cant find it on thunderbird.

Thank you.

You could configure it to label those emails "high priority", so they at
least stand out from the rest. Just open an example mail, right-click the
From: address and choose "Create Filter from Message". The rest is self-
explaining.

Playing a wav file or displaying a popup shouldn't be too hard to program
in a simple extension. You might want to take that suggestion to the
Mozillazine forums (http://mozillazine.org), some developer might pick it
up.

Wald

I have been using T-bird for a couple of weeks on my new PC, used
Pegasus previously. Only fault I have with Mozilla is the slow load
time. If someone could suggest a remedy for this I'd be grateful.

Cheers

David

JohnZing:

The nearest I can come to your request is by running the spam blocker
K9. I turn off the sound alert from TB and set K9 to make a sound only
when non-spam arrives. Not exactly what you wanted but it doesn't make
a sound when a spam arrives.
