'Thumbs'

Well i have now successfully managed to get rid of the trojan swizzler virus so hurrah at that! however... decided i really needed to give my pc a bit of a spring clean... my father also has a pc and he had a bloke come to 'try' and fix it (he cant print from IE ?? any advice on why this might happen? it just doesnt let him...) well anyway this bloke came looked at the pc etc - still not fixed. We share files, ie: digital camera pics etc, and now i find that i have the same prob as him- with almost every single file there is a thing called 'thumbs' attached to it - it is a hidden file and i can delete it but as soon as i leave the file and enter it again its back!! How do i get rid of thumbs - it reminds me of gremlins as it just keeps reproducing itself and spreading its way through my pc - its also onmy brand new laptop now!!! Help!!

Hi Kerry,

Do you have an updated AV program? If you do, run it. Also, download and run
anti spyware Apps. The following links are to the most popular, they are
free.

Spybot S&D
http://spybot.eon.net.au/index.php?lang=en&page=download

AdAware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Download and run both of these apps. One catches things the other may miss.
I did a search for "thumbs" and came up with too much to sort through.

Kerry;
Thumbs is a normal and legitimate file related to Thumbnail view in
the folders.
