Thumbnails/icons don't display

I've come across a problem that i'm not sure how to fix. Every day the
thumbnails in My Documents folder stop displaying pictures. They just show a
generic photo or file icon. When I click on a thumbnail the picture viewer
says "drawing failed". Now icons for weblinks are turning generic too. My
system is fine for the first few hours it's on then the same problem happens.
I know I have a trojan virus on my computer that my antivirus software keeps
quarantining but eventually pops up again. Not sure if that is the problem.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Write down the exact name of the Trojan and what AV program you are
using--post it back here. You need to be TOTALLY rid of it before doing
anything else and that may fix your icon problem.

It is TROJ_AGENT.MQU on my systemhelp.exe file. Also a file named
A0051714.dll seems to be infected. Both files are on my hard disk. I am using
Trend Micro Antivirus version 11.26 build 2004; engine version 8.500; pattern
version 4.589.00. I hope this info helps. thanks.

There is not much info about that Trojan on the web but what I was able to
find indicates that it is a nasty one--it renames .exe files with random
names, etc. What I suggest is that you download and run HiJackThis that is
available here: http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip )

Run it and then post the log to one of these help sites:

http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22,
http://castlecops.com/forum67.html,
http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=30

These forums get a real work out so be patient and good luck.
