Thumbnail pictures

For some reason my computer will not show pictures.
eg In Expedia when I am looking to book a hotel, the
pictures of the hotel and the thumbnail pictures shows me
a box with a red x in the centre. Clicking on these does
nothing, and I cannot see any pictures.

This is something that has happened to my computer
recently because, I used to be able to see them. I am not
aware that I have changed anything that has caused this.

Can anyobe help me rectify this problem

i aslo have this problem on som of my web pages i
frequent the send buttons or next buttons continue
buttons and picture dont load

like at ofoto.com i cant upload my pics i have to move
mouse around until my cursor finds something please help
