Three mail clients?

Please let me know if I'm anywhere correct. I seem to have three ways of
collecting my POP3 mail. Windows Vista mail, where I can receive but not
send POP3 mail. Windows Live Mail Desktop, where I can receive and send
POP3. And Windows Live Hotmail, which works with my *.msn account, but
doesn't do POP3 at all. There must be renegade opposing software developers
at Microsoft! They ALL seem to have limitations and none seem as simple and
work as well as Outlook Express. Why?

Best,
Karl

If you can send on Windows Live Mail but not on Windows Mail, correct the
account set up on Windows Mail to be the same as on Windows Live Mail.
Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail have the same programming team.
