Anyone know how to prevent Logitech cordless keyboard/mouse from
indiscriminately stopping and shutting down your PC?

And, don't you love the troubleshooter?
Any way to get it to just go directly to the screen:

instead of clicking through to get there?

if its a mouse problem, sick the cat on it. but you might
have bug in your pc.
