Third page of Internet Connection Wiz is whited out

In two ways I have needed to click the "Connect using a dial-up modem" (third
page on the New Connection Wiz) in order to use a 56kb modem or using my cell
phone as a modem.

However the New Connection Wizzard has only one choice of the three choices
available, the first two being whited out: 1) Connect using a dial-up and 2)
Connect using a broadband requiring a user name and pass aren't available
and the third is permanently clicked, 3) Connect using a broadband that is
always on.

I have a HP laptop using XP Pro that has wireless hardwired in and the
option of a LAN connection. Both of these work fine but sometimes I need to
use the dial-up modem connection when the other two aren't available.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Your symptoms are seen here occasionally. Hopefully, it's a simple problem to
repair.
