I am beta testing Superantispyware 4.0
I am beta testing the Pro version for Vista at this time.

It runs smoothly and right now the only thing it still does is Vista pops up
its screen asking to allow Superantispyware updates to come in.

This will be fixed in the final beta before it is released to the public.

If you want to try it out you can pick it up here. You can trial the pro or
the free
If you already have the 3.9 Pro or the free you will need to uninstall it
first before putting 4.0 on
It runs on xp and vista
If you are running the 3.9 free or pro when the final is released you will
need to uninstall 3.9 then install free/pro. For Pro you will need your
registration code to reput in.

I will tell you it looks the same as 3.9 with a few additions but does scans
faster than 3.9 did.
You can pick it up here

http://superantispyware.com/prerelease.html?tag=PRERELEASE

and at the website it will show you the new features it has

Looks as if you've trialed the SAS Pro in the past, you don't get to trial
it again at the 4.0 level. I suppose you need to download the Free
version and not Pro or you'll get a warning popup that the Evaluation
Period has Expired. Oh well...

I have been using the 4.0.1106 Beta for 4-5 days now and i haven't
had any problems at all. If what they say is true with 30-50% faster
scans and using alot less ram it should become the better choice. Ron

he answered me and said
If you have previously tried the trial of the professional for 15-days, you
can't retrial any version of the Professional.

btw if you want to purchase the pro- get it from me when it comes out in
final. I can get it for $10 less than the $29.95 but you need to email me
for the link. I will not put it in here

Thanks, Robin. I've still got the Pro installed, warning popup and all,
should any questions come up.

Dave
You will get the experiation warning box if you have the pro now and you
uninstalled 3.9
all you need to do is put in your registration code. Click on the message
where it comes in and you can put back the code.

If you have trialed an earlier version of Pro and did not purchase it- you
cannot re trial the pre release or any other Pro version.

figured i would download the free too since i do have other xp computers
took 5min to do a quick scan- 10min to do a full scan on a 40gig hd computer
running xp pro sp2 and half the drive is full.
Very impressive in the free also

also for an fyi
the final will be out soon and the issue with the permissons of allowing
superantispyware update in Vista will be fixed in 4.1 which will be released
AFTER the final of 4.0 goes out -They have some other Vista items that will
be addressed in 4.1 which will be likely a month or so after 4.0 ships -
They can only pack so much into each release and want to be able to properly
test the Vista stuff.

Other than that as said I am now beta testing the pre release for vista and
see no problems with this.
To get around it now all you need to do is uncheck in the preferences- check
for updates on startup and you will not see this issue.
