The update for the free version came through as a popup this morning, Robin.
I made a restore point, then just clicked on the link in the popup. It
looked after the installation process perfectly well, and within less than a
minute the new version was in place. Utterly painless.

A quick scan now takes half the time it did in the previous version.

Yes it's an excellent program, I've been running the latest version before
it went gold so had no need to update <g>

i found out from nick that you do not need to uninstall the older one after
i posted this.
busy here, got my daughter in from florida and my two granddaughters(one 4
and the other 10mths) who are keeping me running till Friday night
