When I run it with /cleanremiders switch, the errror message does not show
up, but when I try again running regular, the error appears again. here is
the exact message:

There was a problem reading one or more of your reminders. Some reminders
may not appear. Cannot locate recurrence information for this appointment.

When I say OK to that message:

"Operation failed" pops up on the system tray on the outlook icon

To fix this do the following.

1. Select the calendar
2. Drop down view, select arrange by, select current view, select
recurring appointments
3. Starting at the top double click on each one listed. The one that
gives an error message is the one causing the problem. Delete that
appointment.

Okay - I've done that and very grateful to get rid of that error message.
BUT - Now, how dio I get my normal calendar back? I've gone through every
option in the "VIEW" menu and can't find any way to get a normal calendar
view.

Right click in your toolbar area, enable the Advanced Toolbar. Use the
dropdown while in the calendar folder to select day/week/month view.

Tried to "cleanreminders"- didn't work

I tried following your instructions to clean reminders but, it didn't work. I still get the error message a couple of seconds after Outlook launches. I tried looking at and clicking on all the recurring appointments but none of them generated an error message.
My Outlook PST file is not kept in the default folder (to simplify my regular back-up procedure for all my data files), is this part of the problem?
Have you got any other suggestions?
I synch my blackberry with Outlook regularly although I am not getting any error messages on the blackberry.

I also sync with Blackberry. I noticed this problem started when I used my Blackberry to edit a single occurance of a reoccuring event initially created in Outlook. I have followed all these steps, but cannot resolve it. I can view the offending event in Outlook, but I can't right click it or double click to open it to delete.

Any more suggestions?

Message: Problems reading one of my reminders

I tried searching for the clean reminders from the start menu but it says it can not find the file. What do I do then?
