Problem Reading Reminders

I upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2007. Now when I start Outlook, I get a message (in the Taskbar) telling me that there was a "problem reading one or more of your reminders." After the upgrade, I no longer get notification of my appointments -- neither sound nor pop-up message. When I open the Calendar screen, I find a message at the bottome stating "The operation failed. An object could not be found."

What have I done to deserve this?

please start Outlook with the command line "/Cleanreminders":
