Theme Questions

Sitara Lal

Using FP2003 I have the following questions about themes:

1. Bullet graphics show as intended on my PC (FP Preview). However, once
published, the bullets show as simple default dots in all browsers (IE6,
Opera, Firefox) and the bullet graphic does not show.

2. If I had experimented in the past with different themes on a site, but am
now using only one theme throughout the site, how do I get rid of the older
themes from the [_themes] directory in my FP?

3. If I want to increase the vertical space between items on a bulletted
list, what is the best way of doing so?

4. If I wanted to get a bulleted list by writing my own CSS code, could
someone point me to the appropriate code where I can specify my own bullet
graphic?

Thanks much

PS. I had asked these questions earlier, but got no response - hence the
dupe post!

It's hard to say. Please post the URL of the problem page.

Select the unused theme folder (within _themes) and press Delete.

Then, just to be safe, check all your pages and apply the default theme to
any that don't display properly.
3. If I want to increase the vertical space between items on a bulletted

Choose Style, HTML Tags, LI, Modify, Format, Paragraph and then, under
Spacing, specify 12px or whatever for Before and/or after.
4. If I wanted to get a bulleted list by writing my own CSS code, could
someone point me to the appropriate code where I can specify my own bullet
graphic?

Choose Style, HTML Tags, LI, Modify, Format, Numbering. Then, on the Picture
Bullets tab, click browse and select the bullet graphic you want.

FWIW, if you want as much control over your pages as questions 3 and 4
imply, you should stop using Themes completely, and start linking cascading
style sheet files. For instructions on doing this in one simple case, browse:
