the view that is on the left side of my computer and other folders

The view that is on the left side of my computer and other folders is gone.
How do i get it back. I have look under every thing that i can think of.
Thanks for you help
 
Hi unc10,

I'll hazard a guess that the view that you are referring to is the "Common
Tasks" sidebar. Go to Tools>Folder Options>General tab. In the Tasks
section, click in the radio button beside "Show common tasks in folders",
then click on Apply then OK.
