The System Restarts

I have Windows XP Professional installed in my machine.Very recently I have
been facing a strange problem.Whenever I insert any CD/DVD into respective
CD-Rom or DVD Rom the system restarts (both CD-R/RW).Then I get a message
the system has recovered from a serious error. It says "Error code 000000c4,
parameter1 00000081, parameter2 85eb2280, parameter3 00000042, parameter4
00000000."

I have Nero as CD-Burning software, and to test whether it is doing any
problem I have uninstalled that. But result is the same.I have no Roxio.Help.

You may try uninstalling the problematic device from Device
Manager.Right click on My Computer|Properties|Hardware|Device
Manager|Select the CD-R/RW as well as DVD-ROM|Uninstall both of them|Reboot.
Now when you will restart the machine the drivers will be automatically
detected.Hope the fresh drivers will solve the issue.
