The Sum of a Series

Is there any way to show a summation equation in Microsoft Word? For those
who don't know, the summation equation looks like a big capital sigma with an
"i = [some number]" on the bottom and some other number (usually an n or the
infinity symbol) on the top. It's read "the sum of x sub i as i goes from
[number on bottom] to [number on top]. How can I represent this in Word?

You can insert such equations using the Equation Editor in Word.
In Word, click on Insert | Object | Microsoft Equation 3.0 | OK.
