"The set of folders could not be opened"

Okay, I've tried googling and reading through the Outlook online support,
but nothing has helped :(.

Specifically, I have an old IMAP account that I tried to delete in Outlook a
long time ago, but it still persists -- even after an upgrade to Office 2003
AND running the repair pst program.

When I click on the IMAP folder, I get "The set of folders could not be
opened" and when I try to close it I get "The information store could not be
opened."

I know it's only a minor nuisance in the scheme of things, but I'd still
like to get rid of this account in my folder list. Any ideas? Thanks so
much! :)

Regards,
Adam

Thanks for this answer -- I have been looking at how to change this for
quite some time.

I was able to re-create my profile on my computer where Outlook
connects to an Exchange Server and to an IMAP server. However, when I
tried to re-create the profile on another computer (yes, I had the same
problem on two computers) which connects to a few IMAP servers, a MSN
account, but also has a Personal Folders associated with it that was
not server based,, I could not figure out how to bring that file into
the new Profile.

Is there an easy way to do that? I tried to add a data file to the
Profile, but it only allowed me to add new files, not existing one. I
didn't have this issue with the Exchange-based Outlook because the
Personal Folders are sychronized with the server, but that is not the
case with my other system.

Thanks!
