Cannot delete unused 'Shared Folders' in Outlook 2003

G

Grandpa Jimmy

My wife and I have individual PC's on a LAN, individual Outlook accounts, but
share some folders via a shared .pst residing on my wife's PC. In my
Outlook, I see two Shared Folders, one as desired, another not accessible
(error 10056 - 'the set of folders could not be opened'). I cannot remove
this unwanted folder.

Earlier, my wife used a different PC with the same sharing setup - no
problems for several years. Recently, her two .pst files were moved to a new
computer. For a brief time, her old computer was still on the LAN. I
suspect that my unwanted Shared Folder is related to the original Shared
Folder that no longer exists.

I cannot find any information on how to get rid of this nuisance.
