The operation failed because of a registry or installation problem

[Ctrl-Alt-Del]

Error message: "The operation failed because of a registry or installation
problem. Restart outlook and try again. If the problem persists, reinstall."
Have run the Office Diagnostics from Outlook, no change. KB shows issue with
Outlook 2003, not applicable on this 2007 installation. Anybody..? Thanks.

Exactly what are you trying to do when that occurs?

Did you try uninstalling/reinstalling? It usually doesn't help any more than
office diagnostics, but since the error reports an install problem, it
might.

What KB did you see? They aren't always updated to reflect problems in other
versions, so depending on cause and the resolution, it may apply even though
it doesn't mention 2007.
