"The network path was not found" pop-up displayed during RRAS 2000 MMC snap-in initiation.

Hello,

I have the following annoying problem:

When I open the Routing and Remote Access snap-in on a Windows 2000 Server
which is already configured and running as a Router and D.Dial-VPN server. I
get the following pop-up:

"Routing and Remote Access - The network path was not found"

As result server's icon is marked in red and the bottom line is that I can't
manage the RRAS services. After one or two screen refreshes (F5) the server
status goes green, but no subdirectories (Ports, Interfaces...etc) are
displayed beneath the server name.

I'm trying to avoid reconfiguring the service.

Do you know what's the cause for this?

The server is running Windows 2000, SP4.

Prompt comments will be regarded.

Thanks
/Lior.

Well,

The problem seems to origin from the fact that the server was set to be
hidden from the network by the command "net config server". Once unhiding
and rebooting it every thing started working.

Cheers,
/Lior.
