RRAS and VPN

Hi, I am trying to setup VPN in w2k server and not working.
I configured rras uses windows authentication, in the
general tab I use routing and local area network(LAN)
routing only, but when I try to connect to the vpn server
I got error 678 there was no answer. On the general tab
when I changed to LAN and demand-dial routing the RRAS
server will not start, (event id error 7024, The routing
and remote access service terminated with service-specific
error 711). The server has one NIC, Do I need 2 NIC?

For setting up the computer as a VPN server, select the option 'Remote
Access Server' on the properties. You may not need router.

I tried that, when I did the services will not start event
id 7024, and 7023 access is denied.
