The network name cannot be found

I have just installed a new machine with Win2K as a member of WORKGROUP. I
also have a domain with just a Win2K Server on it currently. When I browse
Network Places both the domain and the workgroup show up and I can get to all
the machines in the workgroup but I get "The network name cannot be found" if
I try to browse the domain. Other machines in the workgroup have no problem
getting to the server in the domain.

KB841617 implies that there is a hotfix for a similar sounding problem. How
do I get the hotfix?

All machines have all the latest updates.

The hotfix did not cure the problem.

A little more information. Another machine in the workgroup has no problem
sharing disks on the server. My laptop cannot even see the workgroup or be
accessed but it can be seen. I am doing an install on a new machine and it
can be seen and accessed (it is still sp1 and installing updates.) It can
also access other workgroup machines and see the domain but not access it.

I should have added that when the laptop goes in to work it can join the
domain there and all shares work.
