the ie6 browser will not close

I can not close the ie6 browser by clicking the "X".
To get out of the program I must close ie6 with the task
manager, and even then it closes in a "program does not
respond" error.

Any suggestions about how to fix this? (By the way I have
already reinstalled ie6 by changing the IsInstalled code
in the registry - it didn't fix the problem.)
