Hi,
I know that URLs of visited websites are kept by the OS in the History
Folder. When using Win98 and I am off-line, clicking on a URL of a recently
visited website I get the page displayed. However, this does not seem to be
the case when using Win XP.
Is there something on my browser that needs adjusting? Or is this a property
of XP?
TIA
Paul.

I'm no expert, but the only way I have found to view a
page offline is to add it to favorites, and select make
available offline, for each page. To get the latest
versions of all offline pages stored in your computer
before you go offline, click tools, synchronize.
IE6 help doesn't have any reference to automatically
storing every web page in history as offline content, it
would take up a lot of space on my comp. I looked in the
hidden history file and it only stores internet
shortcuts, not pages.
Sorry, not much help (rather-not the answer you wanted to
hear!)
Liz

Thanks. It does help.
