IE history problem!

Hi,

Why is there a "r@" appended to the beginning of every website address
listed under my history?

E.g. r@http://www.hotmail.com

I can't access my visited web pages without Win telling me there is an
error! What should I do to remove "r@" from the links under my history?

Pls help...

Hi Tommi,

Something is seriously wrong with your History. The file name you quoted

r@http://www.hotmail.com

is for a cookie, not a history link!

What folder are you viewing? (sounds like your Tempory Internet Files Folder
not your History folder)

To view your History side bar in IE use the Ctrl+H shortcut keys.

Your reply gave me a clue as to what's wrong. I discovered that my account
name has "@" as 1 of its characters.

So this results in my history links being corrupted.

Hi Tommi,

Thanks for the reply. It adds to everyones knowledge - We all know now not
to use @ in our user names.
You may have to abandon that account and create a new one.
