the dreaded blue screen of death

On my sons PC (Athlon 2800) he keps getting the blue screen of death. This
happens when he is running unreal, word and other programmes. Is there a
common reason for this e.g. memory errors?

Could you please post the Stop Code that accompanies the BSOD? With that the problem could be isolated.
