The database has been placed in a state...

I have a database opeoned Office 2000 running on Windows XP -Home.

I am trying to copy a form from the Northwind's database to my databse.
When I do, an error pops up on my database that says, "The database has been
placed in a state by user 'Admin' on machin 'HPPAVILION' that prevents it
from being opened or locked.

The same error occurs when I try to import the object.

I've seen post that talk about this error in relation to not being anle to
share the file. I've tried the 8 previous posts that I found in Google, but
they do not apply in this case.

Any ideas?

The file may be corrupt. Look and make sure there isn't a northwind.LDB
file in the same folder as northwind.mdb. If there is, and no one else has
the file open, you may need to compact/repair it. Also, make sure there
isn't a second instance of your database already open...i.e., reboot.
compact/repair your database.
