The computer is in use and has been locked

I've never seen this in 25 years. What does it mean? System asking for
user and password. No problem. Just want to know why it popped up in the
first place. Happened during the night.

Wow, where have you been? You either checked the box for "On resume password
protect" or CAD and chose "Lock Computer"
