The AutoPlay Function Does Not Work and the Current Media Does Not

I am having this issue as described in Article ID : 817357.

After trying many registry changes listed in various articles to enable
autorun, the current disk in the disk does not show. The files are
accessible, but the title is wrong and Autorun does not work.

I even tried this:

http://www.dx21.com/HOME/ARTICLES/VANCE/index.asp?PID=67

I have read on many sites that this is an ongoing problem that has no real
solution.

I am running a fully patched version of SP2.

Any ideas?

I have followed the instructions and used the utility, and have had no
improvement. This is a CD Rom that worked perfectly under Windows 98 SE in
the same computer before I upgraded to Windows XP Home.

Any other suggestions?

No idea, Crashman. The AutoFix tool generally fixes both the problems. Do
you have Nero or any other CD burning software installed?

I did, but since you mentioned it, I removed it. There was no improvement.
