Hi,

Need help to solve the error. After login my password, the msg The
application failed to initialize properly (0xc00000022). Click on OK to
terminate the application. appear.
I am using Win XP Home.
It happen when the site invite me to update my window media to enable
'codex' for viewing.

Check your event log to get more info regarding which program is
generating the problem.

Since we don't know what "site" invited you to download and install a
codec and whether it was legitimate or a virus, first try to get into
Safe Mode to undo what you installed. To get to Safe Mode repeatedly
tap the F8 key as the computer is starting up. This will get you to the
right menu. Then do a System Restore to before you downloaded the
codec.

After that, run a thorough scan (still in Safe Mode) with your
full-featured antivirus. Make sure your av is a current version (not
earlier than 2004) and is using updated virus definitions.

Hi TTFN,

I located the file msvbvm60.dll but there is no security tab for me to
authorise permission. My computer has set a window password and it was
during I return with my password that the The application failed to
initialize properly (0xc00000022) message appear.
Please advise further.
