The Anti-Windows XP Service Pack 2 Act of 2005

I and couple of friends have been scrambiling around on how to decide to
BLOCK Windows XP Service Pack 2 update that Microsoft Corp. that have us
running around crazy wbout why Microsoft plan to Force the Security Update
(service pack 2) to our computers that we worked so hard to get and purchased
the software and now We The People can't do nothing to stop Microsoft's Push.
Microsoft is Breaking the Anti-Trust Laws by forcing the security update to
our computers with Windows XP and Windows XP Service Pack 1 which by the way
I think is the Best and Plan to keep it forever. I bet Microsoft plan to stop
delivering updates to those who plan to keep Win-XP SP 1.

If that happens...........................I will NOT hesistate to SUE
Microsoft Corp. and Bill Gates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What are you talking about?
If Service Pack 2 gets installed on your computers, it is because you
installed or let SP-2 be installed.

Perhaps Facts and not FUD should be read by you and your friends.

Almost 6 months of beta releases and another 8 months and you haven't fixed
the problems?

No one is forcing you to update.. Just consider it losing support like you
would with Windows 98, etc. Stay with SP1 and all updates that have been
releases after that that work with just SP1.. Turn off Automatic updates and
don't approve anymore on a SUS server.

I've seen trolls like this before, I suggest this be the only response.

Good luck to you - Firewall and antivirus up....

What are you on about? No one is forcing you to have SP2 installed on
your computer, you can either turn off auto updates and just download
the updates you require or if you do want to keep auto updates on then
you can tell it to ignore SP2.

Myself, I do not have auto updates on and I have not installed SP2 and I
doubt I ever will.
As for suing Microsoft or Bill Gates, I hope you got a lot of money,
because you have not got a ghost in hells chance of getting anywhere.

Service Pack 2 is a major critical security update for Windows XP.
It has been successfully installed on over 150 million PCs thus far.

What are you smoking - SP2 does not auto-install, even it you have
automatic updates setup to download and install. It will download and make
it ready, but it doesn't auto-install, you have to manually install it.
Microsoft is Breaking the Anti-Trust Laws by forcing the security update

MS is not breaking any laws - you choose to install updates or not, MS is
not forcing anything on you.

As for SP1, you don't have to install any updates, not even SP1 if you
don't want to. If you want to continue to get updates for the OS you must
also install SP2 as updates build on the foundation that SP2 creates.
If that happens...........................I will NOT hesistate to SUE
Microsoft Corp. and Bill Gates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And you will spend a lot of money for nothing - you don't have to install
updates.

Except for the fact that kinda response actually does feed the troll.
The only reponse that doesn't feed a troll, is no response at all.

Has it actually been installed on 150 million PC, or is that how many
copies of it that MS has given out?

Why? I installed SP2 and it gave me more problems than ever, so I have
taken it back off again.
There is a lot of people that have not installed SP2, it have got plenty
of problems.

Then you had "plenty of problems" prior to installing
SP2. I would suggest making a new Windows XP
CD with SP2 slipstreamed and then perform a
"Repair Install". Make sure you scan your PC for
malicious spyware and viruses first.

Either one of the following utilities makes slipstreaming
(integrating) SP2 into Windows XP a breeze:

Windows Slipstreaming and Bootable CD Guide

AutoStreamer 1.0.33 (preferred)

Right, other companies charge for updates to their software, Symantec,
Powerquest, (now one & the same) etc... We have become quite spoiled.

Been there, done that, I even got the T-shirt, ok, so I made up the
T-shirt bit :). I even done a clean install. Still had problems with
software falling over and not wokring as it should. I even took the
firewall off line and made no difference. I gave up now, after all, my
computer is working fine without SP2. since I do not use Internet
Exploder, I am safer on the net. I do not use Outlook express, so I do
not need the new security things for that. so Sp2 seems too offer me
less and less and more problems. so I have given up and left the
computer as is.
