"The access code is invalid"

Hello:

I have Std. tcip/ip printers set up on a W2K SP3 server and am having
some issues with WIndows 98 clients trying to print.

When they try and print, the following error is displayed:

"Error writing to printer......(name)....
The access code is invalid"
The printer will be set to work offline
TO save your print job to the local queue, click OK

????? Mean anything to anyone?
Solutions? Ideas?

I am having the same problem and have found only one MS KB article, Q260737.
I removed all protocols from the printer except TCP/IP. I have deleted and re-added the printer. I have messed with the Spool settings and can get the job to the queue but it sits there with no status.
Strange thing is I can add another network printer in a different part of the building and it works. The JetDirect or queue could not be hosed since there are other XP users printing to it.

Have you gotten any further? Doesn't appear Microsoft has an answer for this.
