I just wanted to get on and thank all you guys for the
advice I've received over the past couple of weeks! Esp.,
thanks for the advice on Ad-Aware when my pc was being
overtaken by a--holes who have nothing better to do than
send out pop-up ads for things I'd never buy in my lifetime!

You guys do great work! :-) Being an "older" user, I've
learned a lot about things I didn't even know existed.
Ad-Aware detected 2 "malware" this weekend on my pc. If
I'm not being too ignorant, what in the world is that?

Regards,

Patty

Patty:
Malware (short for "malicious software") is a broad term given to
programming or files that are developed for the purpose of doing harm.
Therefore, it would cover viruses, trojans, worms, spyware and the like. In
short, it's junk you don't want or need on your computer :)
