How do I reveal the text that I see in the preview when I open the message in
the reading pane? I've seen this in spam and never worried about trying to
see the text - but now I have someone I know sending messages I cannot see
once it gets past the first two lines in the Preview becasu the text appears
to be in the mesage as something other than the body of the email....

if you hit forward, do you see it?

This occurs in multi-part messages, where one part contains the HTML
version, and the other part plain text. Usually - in "normal" messages,
the text should be identical. In spam it is different, most of the time.

To view the complete message with all parts, you have to open the
message, right-click on it, then select View Source.

If you don't want to open the message, you will need some 3rd-party
plug-in that can copy the whole text, including headers, into the
clipboard. Search the web for OLSpamCop for one tool that can do this.
I'm sure there are others.
